We operate onsite schools at Kihew and Stony Creek which offer Junior High and High School classes for our youth. All educational programs at Nightwind Treatment Centre follow Alberta Education curriculum.
On-site education programs funded through an EPI (Education Program in an Institution) between Nightwind Treatment Center and Alberta Education which is supported with in-person staff through Ignite Centre for E-Learning . Youth admitted to our transition to semi-independent living program, Grandmother Turtle House, attend educational programming through Outreach School in Westlock.
Education services are provided in low enrollment environments with a high staff to student ratio. Students are provided with individualized instruction and Nightwind Treatment Centre supports the development of Success in School Plans for youth in the program.
To help facilitate transition of youth to our educational programs, please have their educational institution forward their Student Cumulative Record directly to us so we can begin planning for their success in school.
